Today is the first blog post for Mommy Mondays πŸ™‚ I look forward to blogging about good times, rough times, products and experiences, and my favorite- milestones!

My daughter is turning five months in the next couple of days. The reason I LOVE to share her so much with my Facebook fans & clients is because that little girl was in my belly my first year in business and she was the driving force behind my inspiration & hard work. Everyone saw my belly & business grow together and I just pretty much feel like I owe it all to her. Camryn is the love of my life right there along with my husband, my career & the Outer Banks.

I cry happy tears almost every day hanging out with this little angel. When she’s having a rough day she’s STILL not ‘bad’ (babies aren’t bad though, they’re BABIES so that wording doesn’t really work!) and she just needs a little extra attention. I’m such a type A high stressed person so I don’t know how I got so lucky to have such a cool girl. Please Cammy don’t refute this by being a craaaazy teenager. Be a good girl for mommy, always πŸ™‚ {Who am I kidding!?}

I know the hormones have to do a lot with the happy tears but I have been grateful every since all of the pregnancy tests turned blue, showed us plus signs & lit up with the words PREGNANT! We tried for her for around 6 months and ever since I knew that angel was in there I promised myself that although I knew I wouldn’t be a perfect mommy, I would try to be the perfect mommy for her. I’m far from it (she slid in the bathtub last night and swallowed some bath water- mommy fail!) but I definitely treat her the way she deserves to be treated and let her know how much I love her every-single-day. My husband and I are so in love with her that when we go to plan a date night, we end up throwing her in there because honestly? We want her with us. Every now & then we get time to ourselves but she’s on a good sleep schedule as it is so we do get times to cuddle and hang out and watch movies together, and we miss her when she’s in the next room sometimes! Obsessed? Healthily so. Crazy? If loving your first brand new child is crazy, then yes. We are crazy good at being awesome loving parents, lol! πŸ™‚

We look forward to some adult date nights in the future and getting our trip to Key West this fall compliments of Ashley & Mike hiring & hauling me down there to shoot their wedding but oh we will miss her! It’ll be a great second honeymoon for us though. I’m sure she’ll come up in conversation the whole time, and I’ll cry my happy tears when we leave, when we get there…and of COURSE—-when Ashley walks down the aisle toward Mike because I know that’ll be Cammy one day.

The first video is almost EXACTLY from one year ago…her ultrasound, seeing her heart flicker & her teeny tiny little arms & legs. We knew we loved her so much then πŸ™‚ The second video is her now recognizing her FAVORITE Baby Einstein character, the bumblebee…just WATCH how excited she gets! πŸ™‚

Hey there! We’re a husband and wife team who has the honor to document inspiring wedding days for the most cheerful couples around. We have three daughters lovingly referred to as the mermaid mafia and we love nothing more than salty beach days, laughing as much as possible and living the simple, good life.
