Well this is embarrassing but it’s a real video at least, haha! Despite the fact that Mike starts rolling while I’m in the middle of eating mexican dip and that I can’t even say my own name without laughing..there is a general point to this that I HOPE everyone sees.

I could say a lot on this subject but I wanna keep it brief and I REALLY don’t want anyone to feel offended. That’s never my goal. I just believe in my heart, your significant other should always support you and your passions. As long as it’s something safe and it doesn’t take a toll on your family in any way, I think it’s so important to have that support at home and it makes ALL the difference. I BELIEVE that having a husband, wife, boyfriend, etc supporting and pushing you causes you to flourish and feel AMAZING about yourself and succeed! Without Mike, as much of a pain in my butt he can be, he really is a huge reason why I am here today supporting our family and working so hard loving my clients and doing what I love to do.

I loved hearing the ladies at the Q+A tonight all say they have this at home. They have some VERY good men in their lives!!!!! 🙂

Hey there! We’re a husband and wife team who has the honor to document inspiring wedding days for the most cheerful couples around. We have three daughters lovingly referred to as the mermaid mafia and we love nothing more than salty beach days, laughing as much as possible and living the simple, good life.

 1. Great post Amanda, and SO TRUE! I don’t think a lot of people realize what a huge difference having a strong support system can make regardless of what you’re doing! I realized this when I met my fiance and I can honestly say that I would not have graduated from UVA with my Bachelors nor would I currently be a Grad student with a 4.0 GPA if it weren’t for him! (I would also probably still be working 70 hours a week at my full time job and at JC Penney if it weren’t for him. LOL!) Having someone who supports you and encourages you can make a world of difference in your life no matter what you choose to pursue. But of course you already know that 😉
