This is an epic addition to the Amanda Hedgepeth Photography family. When corresponding with this incredible couple along the way…it slowly hit me that I am unbelievably lucky to be the one documenting this day, because it’s more than just marriage when it comes to these two grooms. It’s HISTORY being made. Isn’t this world becoming a better place!? I’m moved beyond words.
Hopefully they know and I know many told them that day..but this couple is gorgeous, brave and doing something really big by taking these steps. It was a moving ceremony surrounded by the sweetest friends and family, right there next to the inspiring Jefferson Memorial and all it stands for. There was applause from much more than the invited crowd around us, but from passers by and tourists left and right. From custom made suits to an intimate and picturesque ceremony to one heck of a reception..the day was flawless. You’ll also see a unique lock and key theme throughout, corresponding with their engagement story that I just adored!
I love that is all started with graduation night at Virginia Tech — Chris was done with school and Josh was up visiting friends..couldn’t have aligned the stars better that night 🙂
There were many tears of joy, laughter around every corner and two men who affected my life for the better more than they will ever know. I will always remember not only the day, but how I felt being a part of it. What an honor you have given me, Chris and Josh! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, eternally I will be grateful for this experience.
Thank you Nicki for assisting!! I am SO happy you made the trip for this! 🙂
