I did something crazy this year. I said out loud “I want to see my work in print!” It felt so far away because it’s a big deal for someone who just started a few years ago and that still remembers the infamous email (watch here!) from someone telling me how bad my work was and that my work was a joke. (I wonder how you’re doing now lady? I was on the Today Show..just saying:)) There is no one that can change the course of your future and your potential achievements except for you. So if you’ve gotten a “Heather” email..I hope you don’t stop because of it.

Coastal Virginia Bride magazine was introduced to me by Misty Prewitt of Maya Couture and I can’t say enough about them! We had a BLAST working together, one of my brides, friends and fellow photogs Jessica Ashley Photography came along too and we rocked this day out together! FOUR locations, five gown changes..it was incredible! The vendors were so talented too and of course MADE IT what it is..truly unique and gorgeous looks in different Virginia Beach settings!

Thank you again Pam and the whole creative team for having me! This was such a great experience and something I am so proud of and thankful for!!! 🙂

Pick up a copy today! They’re all over stands in Hampton Roads! I even stopped in Smithfield at the Visitor Center and picked up an older one a few months ago. Apparently my husband found his at his work…GEICO! 🙂

Hey there! We're a husband and wife team who has the honor to document inspiring wedding days for the most cheerful couples around. We have three daughters lovingly referred to as the mermaid mafia and we love nothing more than salty beach days, laughing as much as possible and living the simple, good life.
