Kim + Charles | Anguilla Portrait Session

When we were on the plane getting ready to land in St. Maarten, I saw it…that breathtaking, refreshing, tropical blue water. I thought to myself… okay, this is gonna be REALLY good…and without having ever met Charles and Kim in person (besides Skype!) yet, Mike and I knew we were about to have an incredible time. When people bring you to an island for a destination wedding, they are creating this beautiful and relaxing experience for their guests because they are the kind of people who want everyone to be happy. They are SO close to “their people” and they wanted to provide a setting for adventure and a beautiful and memorable time for the people they love most, all while celebrating this joyous wedding week!

I loved the idea of this day before session and if you know me, you know that I’m a golden hour girl through and through but on the island with so many different things going on from rehearsal dinner to a moving and sweet Christening of their daughter and nephew, we decided to bump this session up to when it was still bright out and I have to say — there is NO BETTER place to do that than somewhere that has this picture perfect tropical blue water! It makes everything in harsh light look SO pretty and I was absolutely overjoyed to see that. These two have an incredible story, a daughter so sweet that it would melt your heart and we are unbelievably honored that we got to be in Anguilla with them. Thank you two so much for having us, the wedding blog is coming soon but for now –  here’s the portrait session! 🙂
