Well, another simple recipe from your simple girl down here on the salty Outer Banks. One of the best things we do every week is take 1-2 hours meal prepping things we can reheat for the next 5-6 days to avoid spending money out to eat or on carryout and it’s saved us THOUSANDS of dollars since we began Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University on July 1, 2017. We love these turkey burgers because they are sooo simple to make and are great reheats for lunch or dinner! We don’t get too fancy with these, but you can certainly dress it up further than we choose to. (You can add pineapple, blue cheese crumbles, use your imagination:))
Ingredients we use:
Pinch of salt
The measurements depend on how much you’re making, but for one pound of ground turkey, I usually do one teaspoon of the seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, dried basil) and then at least 1/2 a cup of teriyaki because we love that flavor for these! It’s surprisingly perfect how well it works with turkey!
We mix all of these into a bowl THOROUGHLY, and then use a ice cream scoop to throw them on a hot pan (spray with Pam!) and we just hope the shape comes out right…HAHA! These are just the best to reheat for 25 seconds, toast a bun (or not) real quickly and I just throw ketchup and mayo on mine. The QUICKER something takes to reheat for me, the better. And these taste good through entire week which I love! 🙂
