When two photographers who were soaked for 8 hours straight can get in the car at the end of the night and say “that was an AMAZING wedding day” – you know it was above and beyond a TRULY great day!!!

From start the finish, there was rain on Friday, June 7 in Glen Allen, Virginia. Mike and I have shot weddings in hurricane and nor’easter conditions before so we were totally ready for it – but the mood and the outcome of the pictures TRULY relies on one thing…the people. If they are upset about the rain, it’ll show. If they are just so excited to get married because this has been ten years in the making and they are both over the moon excited for this moment – that’s going to show…and it did. You can not deny the contagious joy that filled this wedding day from the glowing bridesmaids to the hilarious groomsmen…to the couple who shed tears a few times throughout the day. Lauren and Nick, to say this was an honor is just such an understatement. We LOVE you both and we are SO HAPPY for this new life chapter for you!!!! 🙂

Hey there! We're a husband and wife team who has the honor to document inspiring wedding days for the most cheerful couples around. We have three daughters lovingly referred to as the mermaid mafia and we love nothing more than salty beach days, laughing as much as possible and living the simple, good life.
