I left the Outer Banks at 9am and saw dark clouds. Lots of them, too. I drove into Moyock and the sky fell out and I immediately thought to myself, noooo way..you’re not doing this today! I can take a rainy day..but it was POURING! Then I arrive at the Waterside Marriott a little after noon and it started to calm down..and then the skies slowly started clearing for the rest of the day..and then YES– it stopped! Brittney and Malcolm are good luck and here comes an AMAZING wedding day that I’m so excited to be a part of!
It’s true that I love all my brides and always have fun emailing and corresponding with them along the way. Brittney though..she’s like my twin. We are so alike in so many ways that I don’t even think I realized it until I saw her delegating that wedding day and making things flow perfectly by running her own show before we got to the venue. As if I didn’t already love her for our mutual love of Keeping Up With The Kardashians..I fell in love with her even more on her wedding day. Her voice gone and adorably raspy, she was so ready to marry that laid back Malcolm of hers and I was the luckiest girl to capture it all! Her hair, her makeup- FLAWLESS! Her details so classic with a deep and vivid pop of blue in the jewelry and shoes. The crisp and upscale black and white affair with the fun pops of uplighting were unbelievably gorgeous and RIGHT out of a magazine! The whole time shooting I kept telling my assistant that I couldn’t stop picturing this in a big magazine spread because it was just ten kinds of perfect.
The vendors were wonderful, the bridesmaids and groomsmen were fun and sweet, and Malcolm honestly thought he was Justin Timberlake during the first dance and I almost cried laughing at how freaking adorable that way. Ohh he loves you girl. You’re the perfect balance and together you can and will move mountains. LOVE YOU TWO! Have fun in the Dominican!!!! 🙂
Thank you AGAIN Meghan for your help! You’re so wonderful and a gem!!! 🙂
